Card Payment Security
The payment card authorization system offered by eCard guarantees the highest level of security for our clients as well as the clients of their internet stores.
Safe authorization system
Card transaction security is ensured, among others, by the use the following measures:
- 3D Secure (Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode),
- SSL 128 bit (thawte SSL certificate)
eCard was the first to implement the 3D Secure technology in Poland, which effectively eliminates fraudulent transactions on the Internet and allows for a liability shift from the merchant to the card issuer.
The system ensures high security both for internet merchants and their clients thanks to a solution whereby card-numbers are not passed to the internet store operator and are not stored anywhere. The cardholder has a guarantee that only he or she and the issuing bank know their credit card details.
Monitoring
The eCard system monitors all transactions in real time. In the case of a monitoring system alert, eCard S.A’s security officers contact the seller in order to inform them about the suspicions pertaining to a particular transaction and begin the process of verifying the given transaction. eCard cooperates closely with issuing banks and law enforcement authorities, who are informed of any and all fraudulent transaction attempts.
